The Red Winged Blackbird's raspy yet somehow melodic song is one of the first heralds of Spring. Hanging on reeds, puffing up their vibrant scarlet wing patches, they glow and sparkle while they sing with their heart and soul. The flash of fire against the glossy black plumage inspired the Native Artists who made this brightly decorated pot and the tiny attentive Red Winged Blackbird fetish made of coral and onyx who listens intently. Second Place in the International Society of Acrylic Painters 18th Annual Invitational.
